As the spring wind picks up over Hangzhou and the air carries that first touch of cool, it’s the perfect season to ride. This second batch of routes extends beyond the city center into the Fuyang and Jiande districts — where the Fuchun River, Anxin River, and tea-planting foothills create some of the most scenic cycling in the Hangzhou metropolitan area.

01. Three-Rivers Greenway — Fuyang Section (三江两岸绿道·富阳段)

Route: Gongwang Greenway → Longshan Rd → Huawu Rd → Guhua Rd (service road) → Enbo Ave → Jiangbin West Ave → Dongwu Greenway → Tangma Rd → Zhongbu Bridge → Wangzhou Greenway → Dongziguan Greenway

Anchored by the Fuchun River, this route strings together natural mountains, historical villages, and modern riverside paths. It captures the grandeur of “green hills rising on both shores” from the ancient poem, while quieter stretches deliver the soft “small bridge, flowing water, households” Jiangnan mood. Called “the painted scroll of Fuchun on wheels,” it’s a long ride through some of the most iconic landscape in Zhejiang.

02. Linfeng Greenway — An Ding Section (林峰绿道·安顶段)

Ride through the tea hills at a speed that lets you taste the atmosphere — this loop threads through terraced tea gardens, mountain vistas, and wild countryside charm. Whether it’s spring tea-picking, stargazing on summer nights, red maples in autumn, or plum blossoms in winter snow, the rolling hills of An Ding give cyclists four seasons of scenery to choose from.

03. Gongwang — Dongzhou Loop (公望-东洲骑行环线)

Route: Jiangbin East Ave → Dongqiao Rd → Beizhijiang Bridge → Houjiang Rd → Zhongqiao Rd → Yanzhou St → Gongwang Bridge

This loop connects modern engineering with riverside village scenery. The Gongwang Bridge, a landmark arch bridge spanning the Fuchun River, is a striking piece of modern architecture to ride under. The quieter Houjiang Rd section feels like “building a home among people” — the countryside peace right on the edge of town. A compact, satisfying loop that pairs sport with sightseeing.

04. Fuchun Greenway (富春绿道)

Route: Hengshan Village → Dongshu Rd → Fuchun Greenway South Line (Tantai Section) → Binjiang Rd → Chunjiang East Rd → Fuchun Greenway South Line (Yangzhou Section) → Fuchun Greenway South Line (Urban Riverside Section) → Binjiang Rd → Binjiang West Rd → Fuchun Greenway South Line (Wanli Section) → Wanmao Rd

This greenway follows the Fuchun River all the way from the rural green village of Hengshan, past the 2023 Asian Games equestrian venue, through old villages and along the urban riverside. It blends the ink-wash mood of the Fuchun Mountains Painting, the modern energy of the equestrian complex, and the烟火气息 of riverside villages. Suitable for cycling, walking, or a slow scenic drive.

05. Three-Rivers Greenway — Jiande Section (三江两岸绿道·建德段)

Jiande Three-Rivers Greenway Anxin River cycling

Route: Jiande Greenway — Anxin River Greenway (Yangxi Bridge) → Huangrao Peninsula (Mamu Rd Intersection)

A ride through the famous 17°C Anxin River valley — where the water stays cool all year, the river fogs roll in each morning, and the air feels several degrees cooler than the city. Ride through fields of wildflowers, walk into the foggy wetland at Huangrao Peninsula, and if you stay the night, listen to the river from a boat docked at the water’s edge. Anxin’s thousand-year secret is in its three elements: clearest water, coolest wind, and most unusual fog.
